The Assistant Logistics Manager is responsible for hiring, coaching and supervising a delivery team, planning the distribution routes, analyzing truck GPS & monitoring system, carrying out investigations, and ensures operations are run smoothly and efficiently on daily basis. Responsibilities: •Oversee daily activities of the delivery team; provide direction and guidance to drivers/assistants as needed to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. Monitoring truck movements and troubleshoot delivery issues arising from complaints and respond in a timely manner. •Review delivery orders, plan & coordinate delivery activities and allocate workload fairly. Set delivery priorities and make schedule adjustments to meet timely delivery goals, respond to the urgent delivery requests on weekends/PH. •Identify operational gaps and drive to improve service level to achieve customer satisfaction. •Maintain the cleanliness of all trucks and ensure the trucks are service regularly for hygiene & safety compliance, truck temperatures are optimal for the chilled/frozen goods to avoid rejections. •Evaluate the performance of team members for allocation of monthly delivery incentives, PH duty and any ad-hoc allowance. •Apply for airport passes prior to delivery and paying off parking summons on behalf of drivers. •Team management, approving staff leave applications, carrying out disciplinary action when necessary and ensuring that the team operates according to SOP/work instructions to maintain a high level of competency and operational excellence. •Ensure that drivers hand over the cash collections for C.O.D sales promptly. •Attend to all feedback on drivers. Handle all accident reporting and settlements in the event of accidents/incidents involving Company trucks and drivers. •Attend to all other matters relating to delivery operations not mentioned above. •Carry out ad-hoc duties as and when requested by Management.
•Degree in logistics or supply chain with min 2 years of relevant experience in logistics/supply chain capacity. •Preferably 3 years of experience managing a team. •Possesses strong interpersonal and communications skills. •Experience in dealing with challenging internal & external customers •5.5-day work week.
