Job Description

•Supervise meals produced and ensure it is according to menu specifications, production schedules and menu cycle
•Plan, make decisions, and produce meals according to client requests, especially when the Sous Chef is not around
•Carry out ordering according to load requirements, follow proper stock control and rotation (adhere to FIFO)
•Communicate to service team promptly on items are unavailable on agreed food menus.
•Ensure all kitchen equipment are used as per Standard Operating Procedures and specifications provided by Airlines.
•Monitor the performance of machines/equipment and report any malfunction
•Perform such other duties as directed from time to time by Executive Chef, Duty Manager, ESC and Sous Chef

Job Requirements

•Possess certificate in culinary skills and/or 5 years of relevant experience
•Have knowledge and culinary skills in the preparation of various cuisine
•Able to use PCs and computer systems related to area of work, read computerised worksheets, check and respond to emails when on duty and interpret airline menu specifications
•Comfortable to communicate in English with international travellers
•Thoroughly conversant with hygiene procedures in the kitchen
•Possess good leadership qualities
Candidates will have to undergo a practical test to display his/her culinary skills
