- Assisting the Cook Supervisor in preparing all menu items and the required raw ingredients needed to cook all items. - Able to prepare and cook designated items on the menu within the specified time set under the supervision of the Cook Supervisor. - Ensure the production of all raw ingredients required for the preparation of all items on the menu. - Ensure all food preparation are carried out according to the Standard Recipes and Operating Procedures. - Adhere to all statutory food hygiene and sanitation guidelines. - Ensure regular maintenance of all kitchen equipment, machinery and accessories. - Responsible for ensuring all items prepared are done with the same level of quality and consistency. - Assist in cooking and plating prepared items according to the standards found in the Kitchen Manual. - Responsible for preparing all food items in compliance with the preparation list given by the Cook Supervisor. - Ensures proper labelling of food items after preparation. - Ensures the correct rotation by FIFO and maintain stock level of all food products. - Adopts the “Clean as you go” procedure during the course of work. - Ensures the proper stocking of raw materials required for the kitchen. - Inform the Head Chef of all incidents of spoilage and damage to food products for recording in the Wastage Report. - Ensure that the uniform is well kept and personal hygiene is maintained at all times.
