•To prepare mise en place in accordance with the Recipe Card(s). •To measure dish ingredients and portion sizes accurately in accordance with the Food Preparation Guide (FPG). •To conduct staff orientation & on-the-job training in store whenever required. •To assist with the acceptance and storage of deliveries and that all relevant SOP and goods storage methods such as First In, First Out (FIFO) are adhered to. •To be responsible for carrying out daily procedures, including temperature checks, food labelling/dating and storage. •To record and/or report wastage of food on a daily basis. •To assist in monitoring food stocks and stock movement and compile the Daily Ordering List. •To count/measure the month-end inventory stocks check. •To be familiar with the opening and closing procedures of the kitchen and carry them out independently as rotated. •To wash and dry kitchen pots/utensils and ensure their proper storage. •To keep high standards of cleanliness on section where deployed, also to assist in any job regarding hygiene or cleanliness asked for by the KIC, e.g. floors, cookers etc. •To attend all meetings and training courses as required. •To assist at other sections/ outlets/ Central Kitchen/ events or help with other duties when the kitchen is short staffed, in emergencies, and/or when number of covers require. •To assist in coaching and guiding junior Cooks in their daily work. •Any other appropriate duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
