Halal Officers roles duties and responsibilities 1.To advise the company / establishment on halal food matters as well as cultural and religious sensitivities relating to the Halal Condition. 2.To assist with Halal File documents and comply with MUIS Halal Certification. 3.To ensure compliance on halal matters pertaining to the Halal Certified Premises. 4.To ensure that non-halal/doubtful ingredients are strictly NOT allowed inside the Halal Certified Premise at all times. 5.Maintain that all Halal Assurance Points are maintained. 6.Maintain Halal Files and records of all documents. 7.Monitor the Halal Assurance Point, verify and endorse all incoming products, raw materials and processing aids to ensure that they are Halal and have been prior approved by MUIS. 8.As proof of this endorsement, the Muslim Representative shall endorse his / her signature, name and date on the invoices and delivery orders of the products, raw materials, processing aids and additives.
Criteria of Candidate 1.Team player and able to work as team. 2.Resilience - able to withstand tight datelines. 3.Meticulous – analytical and critical thinking and have eye for details 4.Food Hygiene knowledge and certification is added advantage. 5.Good Microsoft Office skills proficiency. 6.Able to travel and conduct internal inspection at Halal Certified Premise 7.Ability to work within Kitchen and Butchery area. 8.Secondary Education from National School or recognized Islamic Institution or have attended Halal Courses conducted by Halal Certifying Bodies.
