- To provide effective Occupational Therapy assessment and treatment for residents in the nursing home. - To lead the Allied Health Team in the nursing for clinical case discussion - To participate in Patient Review meeting with other team members. - To supervise therapists, therapy assistants (TAs) and volunteers helping in relevant areas. - To maintain good communication with all members of rehabilitation team. - To keep abreast with advances in the profession and to contribute to the development of the department. - To be involved in training of the conditional therapists, therapy aides, therapy associates, volunteers and care-givers. - To teach and supervise OT students and TA students in their clinical placements - To be involved in in-service education of the nurses in aspects related to physiotherapy. - To participate in research projects. - To be initiative to take part in departmental development and service development. - To cover the duties of the other Occupational Therapy in the Allied Health Team within the organization. - To work with the Head, Allied Health to attain clinical and operational excellency. - To provide statistic and evaluation for monthly incident report to Head, Allied Health. - To give input or/and appraise therapist, therapy assistant and therapy associate staff. - To participate in projects within own department or in inter-departmental committees and quality improvement projects. - Assist in identifying problem areas, recommend and implement improvements. - Perform other duties as assigned by Head, Allied Health.
- Diploma/Degree in Health Science (Occupational Therapy) - Obtain Full registration and Licensed by the Allied Health Professions Council to practice in Singapore - Accredited as a supervisor under the AHPC supervisory framework - Good communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to converse in major dialects is an advantage. - Physical fit - 8.30am to 5.30pm , Monday to Friday
