•To oversee the department’s daily butchering operations, ensuring food safety, overseeing product preparation, carrying out inventory and performing customer service •Minimize out of stock and overstock to ensure fresh merchandise •Determine Meat department areas for improvement and institute changes to address concerns •Manage department records on associate performance, discipline and sales plans •Receive and Unload incoming shipments and price product to ensure product quality, protection and rotation in chillers and freezers •Execute localized merchandizing plans and follow company plans to ensure meat department achieves profits •To look into packaging, weighing, labelling and pricing of products
