Job Summary Reporting to Engineering Manager, the Process Engineer will be responsible for development, implementation, monitoring and improvement of manufacturing processes and methodologies. He will also be involved in development & launch of new products and continuous improvement projects. RESPONSIBILITIES : •Develop, configure and optimize processes from inception through to start up and mass production. •Evaluating processes and equipment to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations, conduct risk assessments and promote safe practices and methodologies. •Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rate, yield & quality. •Investigate and resolve work-in-process problems. Lead corrective and preventive actions, manage Engineering changes. •Train and guide technicians and operators, prepare process control documents and work instructions. •Troubleshooting problems associated with manufacturing process & equipment, liaise with suppliers and service providers for spares, services and maintenance of automated equipment, special purpose machines etc. •Assist project team in NPI activities, sample builds, pilot production and validations. Sourcing of process equipment and development special purpose tools and machines to support production needs and operational efficiency. •Lead continuous improvement and cost reduction projects, monitor yield and efficiency of product lines, identify & justify improvement opportunities and associated investments. •Additional duties & responsibilities as assigned by Manager.
•Proven work experience in process engineering & Project management. •Excellent technical & interpersonal skills, resourceful and team player. •Experience in fully / semi-automated manufacturing environment, knowledge of PLC systems & trouble shooting. •Self motivated, ability to work under tight deadlines. •Strong problem solving & analytical skills, Excellent communication and Technical reporting skills. •Working knowledge of CAD- Solidworks, Auto Cad •Familiarity with health and safety regulations. •Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering with 3-5 years’ experience in manufacturing environment.
