Roles and Responsibilities:
1.Patrol all Club buildings, car parks and the golf course (including clocking at designated locations) to detect signs of intrusion/arson and to prevent them.
2.Carry out patrol on buggy to ensure that vehicles are parked in the correct parking lots and to prevent in-discriminate parking.
3.Check/ensure the security of all doors, windows, and gates.
4.When deployed to the main gate of the Club, monitor who is entering the Club’s premises:-
For Members: Check cars for WGCC decal on windscreen and record down time of entry and vehicle number plate.
For non-Members/Taxi: Direct the vehicle into the lay-by, greet and inquire non-members or taxi driver where they are going or who they are meeting. Relay information to security officer deployed at Security Office for proper processing of visitors.
For Delivery: Direct to lay-by. Inspect vehicle and note anything untoward. Enquire what are being delivered and to where. Relay information to security officer on buggy patrol to reinforce checks at loading & unloading bay.
5.Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
6.Ensure that contractor’s employees have valid work permits when they sign in to work every day and that proper risk assessments had been submitted by their employers.
7.Warn persons of rule infractions or violations courteously.
8.Carry out surveillance of CCTV live feed to detect intrusion/arson.
9.Answer telephone calls to take messages, answer questions and provide information during non-business hours or when switchboard is closed. When the switchboard is closed and you do not know the answer; get the caller’s name and contact number and inform the caller that someone will call back with the information when the office is open. Ensure that messages are logged and relay information to security supervisor for follow up actions.
10.Answer alarms and investigate disturbances promptly and duly record all incidents in the occurrence book.
11.Write and record daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences in occurrence book and report incident to Security Supervisor immediately.
12.Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational use and to detect evidence of tampering.
13.Monitor and adjust controls that regulate building lighting, plant and machinery, water supply etc… such as; lighting, air conditioning, unattended running water taps, or pumps during patrolling.
14.Contact the security supervisor immediately in cases of emergency, such as fire, theft, break-in, etc.
15.Assists the Head of Department/Fire Safety Manager in the fire drills and/or in cases of emergency. Be familiar with all fire escape routes and fire-fighting equipment in all buildings.
16.Participates in all fire and emergency drills conducted.
17.Perform other duties as assigned by the Security Supervisor.
•Minimum of a secondary education.
•Successfully completed the following WSQ modules:
oGuard and Patrol: Provide Guard and Patrol Services.
oIncident Response: Handle Security Incidents and Services.
oThreat Observation: Recognise Terrorist Threats.
•Possession of PLRD license.
•1 – 3 years’ relevant experience in the security field.
•Able to read and write simple English.
•Basic computer knowledge is preferred.
•Willing to work on rotating shifts.
•Able to conduct a basic investigation into incidents.
