Job Description

 Responsibilities

Ground Maintenance
• Ensure that the drainage around the garden and within the Home is cleared of all debris and stagnant water
• Take care of the gardens inclusive of grass-cutting, watering, weeding, etc.
Equipment and Building Maintenance
• Conduct general repair and maintenance of wheelchair and equipment
• Conduct general maintenance of the premises
• Maintenance of nursing equipment e.g. autoclave, oxygen concentrator, nebulizer and air compressor (gym and dental).
• Prepare and arrange rooms in the Home for different functions.
• Report to the Reporting Officer of any equipment malfunction or breakdown
Inventory Management
• Assist the Senior Executive – Operations in asset movement and labelling of assets
• Assist the Storekeeper where required in inventory management e.g. receiving stocks, weekly distribution of supplies to wards
• Update Storekeeper on stock level and replenishment where required
• Assist the Senior Executive – Operations / Driver where required in management, delivery and/or collection of goods and donations.
Others
• Cover the security and customer service duties of the security officer or Assistant – Admin in his/her absence.
• Cover driving and dispatch duties in the absence of Driver if the incumbent had valid driving license.
• Participate as a member of the Home’s Fire Safety Committee

Qualifications:
• Minimum Primary School Education
• At least 2-3 years of relevant experience
• Possess valid Class 3 Driving License is preferred but not mandatory.
• Able to handle different machineries
• Able to resolve basic repair and maintenance problems
•Able to lift heavy items
• Able to plan work roster
• Able to resolve day-to-day operational problems
• Able to train new staff
• A team player
• Able to adapt to changes
• Client focus

Working Hours/ Environment

• 5.5-day work week including weekends and public holidays
• Shift: 8:30am-4:30pm / 12:30pm-8:30pm / 9:00am-5:00pm
