Brief Description As a Teacher with Kids21Club, you are responsible for teaching and supporting all designated classes at the Club. Main Responsibilities Teaching Provide high quality lessons to the children in accordance to the Club's Philosophy, mission and core value. Prepare and demonstrate clear, interesting and relevant lessons/activities to the children depending on their age and skill level. To offer guidance to direct children's activities academically, spiritually, emotionally and physically in a prepared environment that challenges each child to reach his/her fullest potential. Demonstrate an appreciation of unity in diversity and non-judgmental acceptance and respect for each child. To complete and maintain all records, reports, assessments, inventories and children records as may be required. Assist in the preparation of Progression Reports as indicated by the Head of Teaching as may be required. Read all Club's policies and ensure that you work in accordance with them at all times. Help to facilitate other classes in the case of a teacher's absence. Perform other duties as required or assigned. Relationship with Parents Establish and maintain a professional and positive relationship with the parents of every child in the class. Be inviting and available to meet with concerned parents on an as needed basis. Initiate and conduct meetings with parents when appropriate and communicate issues that arise regarding a child in a professional manner. The Head of Teaching must be aware of any communications with parents and must be consulted first before approaching a parent to discuss any issues. Provide summary of reports and/or meeting with parents. Professionalism: Arrive on time for work and for lessons. Prepare and maintain a safe, peaceful and purposeful classroom environment, ensuring that the class is ready or cleaned up after each class. Establish and maintain a positive and co-operative professional relationship with other teachers and staff around the club. Collaborate and co-ordinate teaching plans on a regular basis with the other teachers. Co-operate on the delivery of lessons, project work or follow up work, if necessary. Participate in scheduled staff meeting with all classroom teachers and administrative heads to consult about teaching plans, personal and classroom observations, and the individual progress of each child. Participate in staff meetings with the General Manager or Head of Teaching if requested to discuss general school issues and to consult on specifics classroom and or child issues. Prepare for and participate in Professional Development activities if required. Club's Promotional Activities: Prepare for and participate in all Club's function as requested. Understand and promote the Club's vision, mission, purpose, objectives and policies to parents in a positive and supportive manner.
Qualifications & Requirements: Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education Experience in working with young children age 6 months - 6 years. Must be able to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing. Confident in communication and maintaining effective, and positive working relationships with children, parents and staff. A team player who is flexible and take initiative. Experience in teaching art, cookery and/or music will be an added advantage.
