The main responsibility of the Technician is to perform high quality maintenance and repairs on Scania products. Satisfied customers, on time delivery and safety at work is achieved by following defined processes, standards and guidelines. The Technician contributes to customer satisfaction, Scania’s profitability and safety on our roads. Duties and responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, following defined and updated standard and guidelines. •Independent implement improvements in certain areas on all mechanical components, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and components Scania vehicles with service for finding and understanding information. •Implement simple work in Scania vehicles electrical system and uses information from the wiring diagram and manual for electrical components. •Perform assigned work within the time period prescribed by customers. •Identify a problem, check and fix mechanical systems. •Prepare the accessories and equipment on the vehicle. •As required, serve at damaged vehicles parked in the street or customer’s premises as part of Scania Assistance. •Provide technical advice to customers and colleagues. •Ensure that all cards work and service sheet filled correctly. •Understand and work according to the procedure of ordering, •Maintain care to the extent that the latest product knowledge and attend training courses. •Use knowledge, training, technical and personal skills to carry out the work assigned. •Ensure that the needs and expectations of customers are met, through the provision of quality work. •Ensure that all company vehicles and real estate clients including workshop tools and equipment operated properly, exercise care and control. •Maintain the highest level of professional standards when discussing work with customers, suppliers and colleagues. •Comply with health regulations and safety and healthy work practices. •Maintain high standards of cleanliness and care to ensure that the workshops and public areas clean and orderly. •Comply with company policies and procedures including the execution of documents and records. •Promote and work in accordance with the Standards of Business Operations Scania (DOS) to ensure a uniform level of quality in all areas of business •Perform other duties as may arise from time to time and as may be assigned.
Competencies: •Communication •Cooperation •Customer Service •People Management Desirable experience & qualifications •High school education •Heavy vehicle technician or an equivalent qualification •Experienced working to repair and maintain heavy vehicles •Successfully complete a level 3 technician training program (Scania) or equivalent experience. •Those that require a visa sponsorship in Singapore need not apply •This role will be based in Singapore, Senoko Knowledge, Skills and Abilities •Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines set •Ability to work on own initiative and under pressure •Ability to work independently and as part of a team •Ability to actively seek solutions to problems •Communicate well orally •Skilled in customer service •Basic computer skills •Possess Valid Singapore Class 3 and above driving license will be an added advantage
