Job Description


You will be part of the client's Finance Team and perform a broad range of tasks/projects ranging from managing collections operations and provide support in implementing related policies / activities. You will also be required to liaise with client's statutory boards, Central agencies, private sector organisations and members of public.

Your duties would include (but not limited to):
- Collate list of persons owing outstanding payments and ensure payment data is captured and well organised
- Send payment reminders to persons owing outstanding payments by email and physical letter and answer queries by phone/email
- Perform documentation and tracking of collections process and work with internal stakeholders to improve collection process
- Small projects with a view to streamline / improve current process
- Work with interns to propose and revise key metrics to update senior management via dashboards
- Able to collaborate and work with internal and external stakeholders

Working Days: 5-day work week
Working Hours: Mon to Thurs 8.30am to 6pm; Fri 8.30am to 5.30pm
Contract Period: 6 months
Working Location: Near Tanjong Pagar MRT
Salary: $14/hr; $14.5/hr (>3 years experience)

Job Requirements

- Some travel to office is required (subject to prevailing safe distancing policies);
- Degree in Computing/Business/Accounting with experience handling Collections (Public Sector experience is preferred);
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint and interest in dashboard software (Microstrategy experience is preferred);
- Mature, responsible, proactive, meticulous and a team player;
- Good at writing with clarity in thought and flow;
- Able to manage tasks well within a tight timeline and confident about providing well-thought solutions and implementing them;
- Able to empathise with persons who are unable to make payment and work out various repayment plans for them; and
- Prior working experience in public sector agencies would be an added advantage.
